Warm, calm, and a little bit of a romantic.

I'm Elya Koroi, an Ottawa-based cinematic photographer capturing newborns, families, and weddings. My style is natural and softly cinematic: real light, honest colour, and moments you'll actually remember living.

Weddings are where my cinematic style comes most alive. I love telling your day as one story, from the nervous laughter while getting ready to the vows and the last song on the dance floor, so years from now you can press play on how it all felt.

Most people tell me they feel awkward in front of a camera. That's fine. My job is to make it feel like spending time with a friend who happens to have a camera, so you can stop thinking about the photos and just be together.

I moved to Canada from Ukraine and fell in love with life here. I'm a mom of two boys, and I genuinely love kids, which is probably why newborn and family sessions feel so natural to me. A camera was always in my hands, and over time that habit became my passion and now my full-time work.
